 | A child recently told us: "This is more like a bedroom than an ambulance!"

For a child, the thought of being taken by an ambulance to a hospital is extremely scary. That's why Southwest Ambulance created the Kidzulance, an ambulance dedicated just to kids. The Kidzulance is a fully equipped, Advanced Life Support vehicle complete with stuffed animals, video games, a TV/VCR and other child friendly amenities to make the trip less stressful. The first of its kind in Arizona, Maricopa County has two Kidzulance ambulances, and two in Pima County. Art design by students at the Thomas J Pappas School for the homeless.
