SOUTHWEST AMBULANCE OBSERVING MOMENT OF SILENCE FOR 9/11 ANNIVERSARY

(Mesa, AZ September 10, 2007)  At 8 AM on September 11, Southwest Ambulance will observed a moment of silence in remembrance of the fire fighters, EMS personnel, and civilians that died at the World Trade Center in 2001.  A “tone” page will go out from the company’s dispatch communications center to all Southwest Ambulance stations announcing the one-minute of radio silence.

The moment of silence will be limited to “non-essential” communications.  Ambulances will continue to be dispatched to emergency calls immediately to ensure the fastest, most appropriate response.
