SOUTHWEST AMBULANCE TO CONTINUE SERVING SUN CITY
(Sun City, AZ) Southwest Ambulance today announced it has been awarded a two-year contract renewal to continue as the exclusive provider of 911-emergency medical transportation services in the Sun City, Arizona through June of 2008. The notification from the Sun City Fire Board represents the first of two two-year optional renewals under terms of the original agreement.
Located 12 miles northwest of Phoenix, Sun City is known for the active lifestyle of its senior citizens. With a population of more than 40,000 residents and a median age of 75, Sun City is an idyllic retirement community. Featuring 1,200 acres of golf courses, Sun City has been called a "golfers' paradise."
“Southwest Ambulance has worked closely with the Sun City Fire Department in meeting the needs of Sun City residents,” said Sun City Fire Board Chairman Irv Mitchell. “The skill and teamwork between the Sun City Fire and Southwest Ambulance crews are truly exemplary.”
